Construction
The 32' Openwere built using typical fiberglass construction including polyester resin, E-type fiberglass woven roving, balsa coring and marine grade plywood strings encapsulated in fiberglass. Note that from 1988 to 1991, Luhrs used balsa to core the whole hull, bottom and sides. From 1992 till the end of production, the bottom was solid glass with balsa coring only in the hull side above the waterline. The deck was molded of solid glass with balsa coring added for additional stiffness in the cockpit, side and foredecks. The hull to deck joint uses two outboard turned flanges as the mating surface with SS fastners and adhesive/caulk.
Accommodations
Very comfortable cabin with very flexible layout. Dinette forward converts to a large double berth, individual reading lights, ventilation hatch, privacy curtain, and hanging lockers. Aft to port is a large L-shaped lounge, that converts to another double berth and its backrest flips up to a pullman style single berth. Ventilation hatch above. Entertainment center is on the aft bulkhead that includes flat panel TV, and stereo. Starboard side has a compact and functional galley that includes an under counter refrigerator, microwave, sink with faucet, and lots of storage cabinets. Ventilation hatch above. There is a fully enclosed head is aft to port.

New cushions and custom SeaDek flooring!
This boat has been updated and maintained to compare to any current line-up of pocket sport fishermen. The huge cockpit, walk around helm, and seating makes a great layout. The boat handles seas very well, had a nice dry ride on plane, and is very easily maneuverable She also has great accommodations down in the cabin with a full galley, enclosed head, AC/Heat, DIESEL NextGen 5KW genset, corian counters, queen island berth forward.
The 320 Open is one of Luhrs most popular models and if you spend any time on the boat you'll quick learn why. This boat is fully equipped with all of the electronics, accessories and accommodations that make it ready for anything. A full set of dock lines, two fenders, auto-deploy EPIRB and all up-to-date and required safety equipment is included. Current USCG Documented vessel. The boat is truly 'turn-key'. Comes with loads of spare parts as well.
The current owners spent 2+ weeks cruising the Bahamas, have taken the boat on many trips throughout the year and are very knowledgeable about any aspect of the boat and happy to answer any questions you may have.
This boat has been setup for fishing, cruising, and island runs and is powered by twin gas Mercruiser Horizon 7.4L Hi-Po MPI 360hp freshwater cooled inboards. Auto-pilot interfaced with the GPS units make long trips easy. Broker Comments
I think "Aluhr" represents a very good value in the current boating market. With so many boaters clambering toward outboard powered boats, its such a pleasure to get aboard an old school inboard fishing boat with all the terrific features these types of boats offer. For the right buyer, this boat offers a fantastic value for the dollar. The condition is good and the current owner has obliviously been doing continual updates thru his years of ownership. The next owner will need to continue with these updates, which is always the case when you buying into a 23 year boat.
