The total length is 10' including the tongue. It works great to pull a front wheel drive vehicle. To pull a rear-wheel drive vehicle (manual transmission), it needs to be in neutral and to pull an all-wheel or rear-wheel drive vehicle (automatic transmission), the drive shaft must be removed.
